Sound design workspace with equipment

Teaching sound the way it's actually used

We started in 2017 with one belief: sound design education should focus on what you'll actually need when working on real projects. No fluff, just practical skills that matter.

See what we teach

Why we built this differently

Most sound design courses treat everyone the same. We tried that approach early on and realized it doesn't work. Some people learn better in groups, others need individual attention for specific problems.

So we offer both. Group sessions for collaborative learning and technique sharing. Private lessons when you're stuck on something specific or want to work at your own pace. You pick what works for your schedule and learning style.

How we structure learning

Collaborative learning environment

Groups of 6-8 students work on shared exercises. You hear how others solve the same problem, which often teaches more than solo practice. Sessions run twice a week for structured progress.

  • Regular feedback from instructors and peers
  • Technique demonstrations with real project files
  • Shared troubleshooting when tools behave unexpectedly

Focused one-on-one time

Book individual sessions when you need specific help or want to dive deeper into a particular area. Useful for tackling your own project problems or learning niche techniques that don't fit group curriculum.

  • Flexible scheduling around your availability
  • Direct guidance on your actual projects
  • Customized pace based on your experience level

Build something real

Every course includes project work where you create actual deliverables. Design sound for a short film clip, build ambience for a game level, or mix a podcast episode. Portfolio pieces that demonstrate what you can do.

  • Industry-standard deliverable formats and specifications
  • Revision rounds with detailed technical feedback
  • Final work reviewed by professionals in the field

What guides our teaching

Tools you'll actually use

We teach with industry-standard software because that's what you'll encounter in professional work. No proprietary platforms that only exist in educational settings.

Direct instructor access

Questions get answered quickly. Email, chat during sessions, or book extra time if you're stuck. No waiting days for generic responses from support staff.

Updated content regularly

Audio software updates constantly. We revise course materials when tools change significantly, so you're learning current workflows, not outdated techniques.

Learn with others or alone

Choose your learning style. Attend group sessions for collaborative energy or schedule individual lessons for personalized attention. Mix both approaches as needed.
